Искусство диалога: в New Tone School прошел второй городской турнир по дебатам
Английская гимназия New Tone вновь выступила площадкой для масштабного межшкольного интеллектуального события — второго городского турнира по дебатам среди частных школ. В этом сезоне проект показал и прибавление числа участников, и качественный содержательный рост, рассказал замдиректора по учебной и воспитательной части в средних и старших классах гимназии Сергей Сергеевич Мельников.
Методология турнира была построена на последовательной смене трех форматов, каждый из которых требовал от участников мобилизации конкретных навыков. На этапе парламентских дебатов основной акцент был сделан на умении работать в смешанных командах и быстро выстраивать коммуникацию с новыми партнерами. Переход к сценарной игре «Бункер» позволил ребятам проявить гибкость мышления и навыки самопрезентации в условиях экстремального выбора. Финальным испытанием стали дебаты Линкольна-Дугласа — интеллектуальная дуэль, в которой каждый участник сочетал функции капитана, нападающего и защитника, демонстрируя высший пилотаж ораторского искусства и логики.
Турнир подтвердил ценность экологичной конкуренции, отметила в своем блоге директор New Tone School Элина Артуровна Юнусметова. Важным аспектом также стала преемственность: в судейскую коллегию турнира вошли в том числе выпускники New Tone, среди которых — золотая медалистка 2025 года Тамара Степанова. То, что выпускники возвращаются в гимназию в качестве экспертов, подтверждает жизнеспособность созданной образовательной среды, отмечает Элина Юнусметова.
По итогам захватывающей борьбы призовые места распределились следующим образом. В старшей лиге (10–11 классы) победу одержал Максим Салихов (школа Sehriyo), второе и третье места заняли гимназисты New Tone — Сергей Ким и Василий Стальмаков. В лиге 8–9 классов лидером стал Ислом Холматов (школа «Дипломат»), серебро у Кириены Пак (школа Sehriyo), а бронза — у Севинч Назаровой (New Tone).

The English gymnasium New Tone once again acted as a platform for a large-scale interschool intellectual event — the second city debate tournament among private schools. This season, the project has shown both an increase in the number of participants and qualitative substantive growth, said Sergey Sergeevich Melnikov, Deputy Director for Academic and Educational Affairs in the middle and high grades of the gymnasium.
The methodology of the tournament was built on a sequential change of three formats, each of which required the participants to mobilize specific skills. At the stage of parliamentary debates, the main emphasis was placed on the ability to work in mixed teams and quickly build communication with new partners. The transition to the scenario game «Bunker» allowed the children to show flexibility of thinking and self-presentation skills in the face of extreme choice. The final test was the Lincoln-Douglas debate, an intellectual duel in which each participant combined the functions of captain, attacker and defender, demonstrating the highest mastery of oratory and logic.
The tournament confirmed the value of eco-friendly competition, said Elina Yunusmetova, the principal of New Tone School, in her blog. Continuity was also an important aspect: the judging panel of the tournament included New Tone graduates, including 2025 gold medalist Tamara Stepanova. The fact that graduates return to the gymnasium as experts confirms the viability of the created educational environment, Elina Yunusmetova notes.
According to the results of the exciting struggle, the prizes were distributed as follows. In the senior league (grades 10-11), Maxim Salikhov (Sehriyo school) won the debates, the second and third places were taken by New Tone gymnasium students — Sergey Kim and Vasiliy Stalmakov. In the league of 8-9 grades, the leader was Islom Kholmatov (Diplomat School), silver went to Kiriena Pak (Sehriyo School), and bronze went to Sevinch Nazarova (New Tone).
