Шестиклассник NewTone занял второе место в международном финале Eurasian Spelling Bee
Ученик 6-А класса Английской гимназии NewTone Оскар Ашуров занял второе место в финале международного конкурса Eurasian Spelling Bee lexical skill competition, который прошёл в городе Хошимин (Вьетнам). На сегодня это первая столь внушительная награда в девятилетней истории школы.
Eurasian Spelling Bee — это престижная олимпиада по английскому языку для стран, где английский изучается как иностранный. Финал собрал сильнейших участников из разных государств Евразии и проходил в два этапа. На первом этапе Оскар ответил без единой ошибки, а во втором уверенно вошёл в тройку лидеров, став серебряным призёром всего состязания. Оба отборочных тура перед поездкой в Хошимин наш ученик уверенно завершал как победитель.
Добиться таких результатов Оскару помогло его увлечение компьютерными играми. Мальчик активно общается с игроками из других стран, в том числе с носителями языка. При этом у него феноменальная память, которая позволяет быстро запоминать правописание даже самых непростых слов, рассказала учитель английского языка Зарина Канибековна Сергебаева.
— От души поздравляем победителя. Оскар Ашуров — талантливый ученик со своей особенной историей успеха. Мы, школа, учителя, приложим все усилия, чтобы эта история продолжилась и привела Оскара к новым, ещё более впечатляющим успехам, — отметила директор гимназии Элина Артуровна Юнусметова.
The sixth-grader of NewTone took second place in the international final of Eurasian Spelling Bee
Oscar Ashurov, a student of the 6th grade of the NewTone English Gymnasium, took second place in the final of the international competition Eurasian Spelling Bee lexical skill competition, which was held in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). To date, this is the first such impressive award in the nine-year history of the school.
Eurasian Spelling Bee is a prestigious English language Olympiad for countries where English is studied as a foreign language. The final brought together the strongest participants from different countries of Eurasia and was held in two stages. At the first stage, Oscar answered without a single mistake, and in the second he confidently entered the top three, becoming the silver medalist of the entire competition. Before going to Ho Chi Minh City, our student confidently finished both qualifying rounds as a winner.
Oscar was helped to achieve such results by his passion for computer games. The boy actively communicates with players from other countries, including native speakers. At the same time, he has a phenomenal memory, which allows him to quickly memorize the spelling of even the most difficult words, said English teacher Zarina Kanibekovna Sergebayeva.
«We sincerely congratulate the winner. Oscar Ashurov is a talented student with his own special success story. We, the school, the teachers, will make every effort to continue this story and lead Oscar to new, even more impressive successes,» said the principal of the gymnasium Elina Arturovna Yunusmetova.
