Успех в глобальном контексте: гимназисты New Tone School завоевали восемь призов международной олимпиады MathLeague
Восемь гимназистов Английской гимназии New Tone стали призерами международной математической олимпиады MathLeague. Она прошла в конце января и собрала школьников из разных стран в их стремлении показать не только знания, но и гибкость мышления. Об успешных результатах учеников New Tone School, о которых школа была проинформирована накануне, сообщила глава методобъединения учителей математики Венера Салаватовна Мухамедова.
В этом году копилка наград гимназии пополнилась серебряными и бронзовыми медалями MathLeague в разных возрастных категориях. Вторую ступень пьедестала почетного международного рейтинга заняли Мухаммадсарвар Исмаилов (5-Б) и Самир Камалов (6-Б). Бронзовыми призерами олимпиады стали Валерия Чеботарева (5-А), Шахин Рахмонбердыев (5-В), Арсен Мустафаев (6-Б), София Касымова (8-А), Кирилл Новиков (8-А) и Асадбек Абдурахмонов (10 класс).
MathLeague — одно из крупнейших математических соревнований в США и мире, штаб-квартира которой находится в Нью-Джерси. Олимпиада охватывает уровни от начальной до старшей ступени школы. Особенность MathLeague заключается в формате конкурсного тестирования, где баллы каждого участника сравниваются с результатами учеников того же класса по всему миру. Оценивание проводится по единой международной шкале, а награды присуждаются на основе сравнительного процентиля, что делает победу наших гимназистов особенно значимой.
— Ребятам пришлось решать нестандартные задачи, требующие развитой логики и умения применять математические стратегии в условиях ограниченного времени. Участие в проектах такого масштаба позволяет школьникам в том числе объективно оценивать свои силы в глобальном образовательном контексте, — отмечает Венера Мухамедова.
Для гимназии это также важный инструмент внешнего аудита качества знаний, который кроме всего позволяет интегрировать лучший мировой опыт в учебный процесс и поддерживать высокую планку академических стандартов, принятых в New Tone School, добавила глава методобъединения.

Success in a Global Context: New Tone School Gymnasium Students Win Eight Prizes at the MathLeague International Olympiad
Eight gymnasium students of the New Tone English Gymnasium have become winners of the international mathematical Olympiad MathLeague. It was held at the end of January and brought together schoolchildren from different countries in their desire to demonstrate not only knowledge, but also flexibility of thinking. The successful results of the students of the New Tone School, about which the school was informed the day before, were announced by the head of the Methodical Association of Mathematics Teachers Venera Salavatovna Mukhamedova.
This year, the gymnasium’s treasury of awards was replenished with silver and bronze medals of the MathLeague in different age categories. The second step of the podium of the honorary international ranking was taken by Muhammadsarvar Ismailov (5-B) and Samir Kamalov (6-B). The bronze medalists of the Olympiad were Valeria Chebotareva (5-A), Shahin Rakhmonberdiyev (5-C), Arsen Mustafayev (6-B), Sofia Kasymova (8-A), Kirill Novikov (8-A) and Asadbek Abdurakhmonov (10th grade).
MathLeague is one of the largest math competitions in the United States and the world, headquartered in New Jersey. The Olympiad covers levels from primary to high school. The peculiarity of MathLeague is the format of competitive testing, where the scores of each participant are compared with the results of students in the same class around the world. Evaluation is carried out according to a single international scale, and awards are awarded on the basis of a comparative percentile, which makes the victory of our gymnasium students especially significant.
«The children had to solve non-standard problems that require developed logic and the ability to apply mathematical strategies in a limited time. Participation in projects of this scale allows schoolchildren, among other things, to objectively assess their strengths in the global educational context,» notes Venera Mukhamedova.
For the gymnasium, this is also an important tool for an external audit of the quality of knowledge, which, among other things, allows you to integrate the best world experience into the educational process and maintain a high bar of academic standards adopted at the New Tone School, the head of the methodological association added.
